[19] Private Tribunals of Conscience Their History and Why They Matter

Tribunals of Conscience and Crimes Against Humanity. Over the past century and more, various private Tribunals of Conscience have focused the moral judgment of humanity in situations where official bodies have either failed to hold violators of human rights to account or have been themselves the perpetrators of horrific acts that shock the conscience. Most recently the international Natural Law and Common Law Tribunal for Public Health and Justice has considered alleged violations of humane international law by state actors during the COVID-19 Declared Pandemic.
